Mobile App Learning Lounge (MALL): A Space for Exploration and Inspiration

Presenters: Mike Truong, University of California, Merced

Twenty-first century learning is increasingly defined by mobile technology, namely the use of mobile devices and applications (apps).  Faculty developers, instructional technologists, and digital librarians can help faculty and students acquire greater familiarity and utility with mobile apps by creating informal, inviting, and informative learning spaces on their campuses.  This presentation will feature a nationally-recognized initiative called the Mobile Apps Learning Lounge (MALL).  Beyond sharing how MALL works, this presentation will offer practical suggestions and strategies for replicating a similar initiative at other institutions.
